The initial setup executable cannot start, as explained in https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/588
There you can read also the workaround: open the game folder and rename jetsetradio.exe to jsrsetup.exe.
You probably have to disable automatic updates for this game, as an update would break that.
Make sure you use the right Proton version. With Proton 5.0-3, the game download will be empty.
I needed to execute:
env WINEPREFIX=$HOME//.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/214510/pfx winetricks d3dx9_41
Otherwise it will not work.
If you set Proton 5.0-3, the game download will be empty. Make sure to pick the right proton version to install it.
The game installs and plays very well... until it crashes. And it will crash, each time at different points.
It plays very well until at some random points it starts getting laggy. Then a bit later, it crashes.
If you use the default Proton v5.0-3, the game download will be empty. Make sure to select the same Proton version as I.
