Used to run fine. Downgrading to Proton 3.16 doesent do anything, so i guess one of the recent MESA updates broke it.
Tried reverting to 3.16, but apparently steamVR/openVR brakes the dot.net installation.
It just indefinetly hangs trying to access "~/.config/openvr/openvrpaths.vrpath", despite me not having any VR devices, or steamVR installed for that matter.
Fullscreen Window has my desktop panels obstructing a portion of the screen.
Often multiple ESC presses are necessary to get into the menu.
Despite copying over my old savegames, the game required me to pick a new Nichname, informing me that my old ones already in use.
BL2 never ran great for me, but i fail to notice a significant difference to the native client.
The game keeps crashing within seconds when running the Ultra-HD texture pack.
Im running "SSL_CERT_DIR=/etc/ssl/certs PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command% -nomoviestartup" for startup options, which apparently gets rid of the launcher issues that are reported by others. Specifying the SSL_CERT location was also necessary on the native client, so my bet is that this resolves the problem (havent actually tested it, but its a fair assumtion).
Still a great game, just super dark(depending on your monitor brightness) with no way of adjusting it.
usexvidmode.reg
Gamma and brightness settings not working at all, even with added registry fixes.
It "runs" but with inputs lagging behind, sometimes significantly, its basically unplayable.
changes between "fine" and "takes 2 seconds to respon", even to mouse movement
weirdest input lag of all times, regardless of settings
GE 5.11-MF3
Stable branch still not yet working properly, but from what little testing i did so far, it runs pretty well on the GE Proton 5.11-MF3 release.
