Could view the initial startup window, but attempting to start the game from there caused the game to enter into a state where it remained running, but never displayed the game window.

Crashes with Error NP0 on startup

Using GloriousEggroll Release Proton-5.9-GE-5-ST. Gets further than base Steam Proton in that it shows the game window and plays the SEGA logo animation. However an error window pops up explaining that unexpected error "NP0" has occurred. From what I have read this might be due to the anti-cheat, nProtect GameGuard.
