I have a 4K monitor, but when the 4K resolution is selected my game crashes. I have to play it at 1080p fullscreen. It is not a big problem as it's a 2008? game that was not conceived for 4K resolutions, but be aware that 4K did not work for me.
Medium distance objects like grass are rendered when you get close, in Windows they are render from a way further distance.
Some objects like wooden barrels or small boxes seem to have some rendering mistakes occassionally. It does not ruin the experience, but it's something that doesn't happen on Windows.
The game sometimes won't reach the main menu due to some errors with the Rockstar Launcher. In my case, just restarting once or twice solved the issue.
Once the main menu is reached, I did not have any errors that made me restart the game.
It does not work through Steam (Steam only works to subscribe to wallpapers). In Fedora KDE, a Plasma plugin must be installed and, from the Plasma desktop background selection, the wallpapers will appear under the "Wallpaper Engine for KDE" dropdown menu.
However, a small portion of the wallpapers will stop Plasma. In such case, paste the following bash script to revert it:
#!/bin/bash sed -i '/^WallpaperSource/d' ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc kquitapp5 plasmashell </dev/null &>/dev/null & disown kstart5 plasmashell </dev/null &>/dev/null & disown
- I installed it following this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMwdkRuXEYQ
