Totally playable after the Xlive.dll copy.
Quick, insignificant visual glitches when exploring the wasteland.
No windowed mode. Alt+tab blacks out the screen and will not come back when app is chosen again; must be restarted through alt+f4.
Crashes/freezes when entering certain areas such as the basement in one the houses in Big Town and the water pipe sequence at the Jefferson Memorial when the enclave arrives and you have to exit. Currently unplayable from there.
Proton 4.11-13 worked, Xlive.dll copy didn't.
Downloaded and copied Xlive.dll to both locations that other users have mentioned (.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/22300/pfx/drive_c/windows AND .local/share/Steam/steamapps/common). Launcher wouldn't even work in Proton 5.0-5. Using Proton 4.11-13, the game loads up the first menu, but crashes upon starting a new game. Graphic options were set to LOW.
Runs like native minus an input bug.
Game misread controller input.
MTG is fun and easy to pick up. The tutuorial was helpful in learning the mechanics of the virtual game, but the actual TCG as well. The only issue I had was the controller input. The game had mistaken my internal accelerometer as a controller input, making selecting cards difficult (zooming in and viewing the opponent's cards was near impossible.
A workaround for this is to disable your accelerometer: https://askubuntu.com/questions/585706/deactivate-accelerometer
" A better solution is to unload hp_accel module: sudo modprobe -r hp_accel
If you don't want your system to load the module at every boot, simply blacklist it adding the following line to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf:
blacklist hp_accel "
