Works great out of the box, no need to tinker any settings.
On my window manager of choice (DWM) while the game was in fullscreen, when I entered another workspace and went back into Aim Lab the screen should be black. Changing it from "Fullscreen" to "Borderless Windowed" solved the issue.
FPS would stutter randomly while playing, simply exiting and re-entering the stage would fix it. A more permanent solution would be changing your graphics settings.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Game would not launch without launch options. PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% fixes this.
Plays fine with the simple .exe swap. I was able to use Steam Input to play with a controller as well.
Replaced PlantsVsZombies.exe with popcapgame1.exe as per the instructions of other users.

RuneScape 3 is 100% playable out-of-the-box on the latest Proton version! No tinkering needed :D
Online play was fine, I was able to do quests with my friends etc
RuneScape 3 worked out-of-the-box with no tinkering nessesary for me to get it to run and to start playing quests. Was able to do quests with my friends and had a great experience.
- I was playing on the MIN graphics with 'Draw Distance' set to 'Ultra' and 'Textures' set to 'Compressed'
If you want to give RuneScape 3 a go, it's perfectly playable!
