The game seems to run alright, but I did have to force compatibility to Proton (Experimental or 7.0-6). It seemed to have launched with the Linux runtime, because it exited immediately out of the box, but forcing Proton ran the game.
I have seen mention on the Steam forum about issues on the Steam Deck, but I haven't experiemced them myself or maybe haven't played enough to find any of them.
I did have a problem logging into my account so that I could sync my save data. I get a black screen when I try to log in and I can only quit the game then with the B button. Desktop mode didn't not help, also showing a blank screen.
What I did was copy over both Saves/Options.rvdata and Saves/Options_0.rvdata to the Steam Deck game's Saves directory in compatdata and then my save data synced correctly.
Could not set up the game's custom cloud save system, solved by copying configuration files over.
Force compatibility to latest Proton.
Runs without issues out of the box, even though Steam Deck compatibility says "Unsupported"
Opens up to an options screen the first time, but everything is readable and selectable just fine. Controls are mouse and keyboard, but since it is a turn-based, point-and-click game, the trackpad works well. Left trackpad is set by default up as d-pad and mapped to 1-4 for selecting dialogue choices (although, sometimes there is an option 5, so setting up a radial menu may be useful).
Performance and battery life is great, as if is an older game, but it still looks great due to the cartoony style. Overall, I believe this game should not be labeled as "Unsupported" at this point.
