Until this update is patched, I can't say that it's stable enough for anyone to enjoy, including me. :(
GloriousEggroll, 6.3-7 (latest? i think), and Experimental
Game sometimes has a weird vertical scanline effect over various things, but it doesn't appear on everything.
A bit slower than it was on Windows.
Ever since the latest update as of writing this, the game frequently freezes, and since it only freezes, no crash report seems to ever be created. Incredibly annoying. However, it's a roll of the dice. I've had several hours of normal-ish playtime, then sometimes I'll just keep freezing several times over on other times.
I'm not sure if the other reporters here actually bothered playing the Online for longer than 5 minutes, but neither of their methods worked
PROTON_BATTLEYE_RUNTIME="$HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Proton BattlEye Runtime/" %command%
Using either of the methods from the previous two reports (with or without Proton Experimental) will get you into Online, but you will be kicked within 5 minutes by BattlEye. Online is still unplayable as far as I'm concerned, so I cannot recommend this game to any Linux player, since Online is the only part of the game worth playing anymore.
Game crashes and freezes too often for it to be enjoyable. Can almost never finish a single match.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 WINEESYNC=0 %command% -DX10
6.20-GE-1
Can almost never complete a match. Seemingly always freezes randomly, sometimes on start of boss waves (presumably because of the boss introduction cutscene), but most of them are just completely random times.
Item server cannot be reached on this version of GloriousEggroll.
I've tried several different official versions of Proton as well as GloriousEggroll and none of them seemingly help with the crashing and freezing. Very annoying.
Works basically out of the box with some very very very minor problems that don't really affect play too badly.
Over time, the game's performance will degrade for some reason, especially after alt-tabbing.
No idea if this is also the case on Windows, but I did experience strange slowdowns in the game. It seems to have been mostly affected by how many pedestrians are on screen. Even more strangely, it does not affect FPS in any way, but the game seems to slow down as if we were going into slow motion? Very weird.
Sadly, it doesn't work out-of-box, since you need to have the Media Foundation DLL, but once that's installed it works flawlessly.
Cloned the git repo here: https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install Made changes using the terminal manually with the command provided on the GitHub page.
I didn't install the Media Foundation DLL through protontricks. Not sure if that makes any real difference, but I figured it was worth noting. Also make sure to use the 5.13-6 version of Proton. The fix will not work on any of the newer versions at the moment.
One small tweak to a specific version of Proton and it should work (almost [relatively]) flawlessly.

Part 1 and 2's cutscenes all played with the correct audio, but as soon as I hit Part 3 and 4, I started running into the issues others have had. Some cutscenes will play with the wrong audio track, and if the audio is shorter than the cutscene, it will end abruptly.
Occasionally, the game will freeze. It doesn't appear to be triggered by anything in particular, and the freezes are not repeatable or predictable. Just make sure to save often.

Interestingly, I have not ran into the cutscene crash like others have when completing Part 2.
Previously, I found some success protontricks-ing the Media Foundation DLL into Proton 5.13, but that still had some major stability issues as well as the cutscene audio issue reported here by several other users. Playable, but not perfect. No more!
GloriousEggroll comes in to save this game from being unstable and having audio issues with cutscenes. No more random freezes and crashes, and all the cutscenes finally play their correct audio tracks! Absolute perfection. Huzzah!
