The Elder Scrolls Online
Tinker Steps:Set launch options
PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
Windowing:Other
launcher is shown in front of the game and can't be minimized while the game is running, you have to use the window manager to leave the launcher window
Significant Bugs:
several all-black windows show up during the installation process, but you can proceed by pressing Enter
The game runs great, but getting it to run in the first place was difficult. What I had to learn, other than the black windows and launcher window issues mentioned above, was:
- You need to modify the launch options, otherwise the installer will complain that you don't have enough space to install the game.
- You need a new Proton version to actually start the game. (I could start the launcher but nothing would happen when I pressed Play. Then I discovered I was accidentally using an old Proton version.)
