After a little proton config, this runs fantastic. Performance seems to be improved running in Linux vs. running in Windows.
Tinker Steps:Switch to older version: 8.0-5, Set launch options
PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 gamemoderun %command%
Windowing:Switching
Full screen seems to be a little buggy when running dual monitors. Issue goes away with only a single one.
As of writing, the default proton options seem to be hit or miss. I tested this with an HTC VIVE (2016) and a Valve Index.

Installed with default settings and played perfectly!
No issue swapping between keyboard and controller. No issues with full screen and it plays as expected. No tinkering to be done here!
