Runned out of the box with Steam Proton, turned off v-sync because it caused some framerate issues, performance is similar to windows.
Runs out of the box without any issues, but quitting to desktop doesn't work, so I had to kill the task. Apart from that, the game is super smooth.
Created a new prefix as mentioned by /u/timothylake here https://www.reddit.com/r/assettocorsa/comments/d6ijqs/assetto_on_linux/
The default launcher did open, but it would not load any race. So I installed Content Manager inside the assettocorsa folder. I had issues with Content Manager.exe , so I renamed it to Content Manager Safe.exe Then I put this to Assetto Corsa Launch Options(By Tritano who also reported here below):
~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/'Proton 4.11'/proton waitforexitandrun ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/assettocorsa/'Content Manager Safe.exe'; PROTON_USE_DXVK=1 echo %command%
It works flawlessly, but make sure you turn off the widgets, because they cause fps drops.
If someone told me the game's native, I'd fall for it
Performance is smooth rock-steady 144 fps (capped), only dropping to 120 fps on Destruction mode.
When opening the launcher for the first time, you can hover the cursor over the Language drop-down bar and use the mouse scroll to change language, in case the drop-down list doesn't work.
