I use bspwm and the game goes into windowed mode but taking up all the monitor space, it also causes some problems with bspwm such as I can't resize it but I can move it between desktops.
Sometimes I get an out of memory error but I don't know if it's a problem with the game or my hardware, still, I would expect it to recover but the game completely shuts down, this happens very rarely.
In the new 64-bit client, half the time when starting the game it would freeze, I had to close Steam and reopen it, but I think it works fine now in windowed mode (I hope so).
Overall good, sometimes it takes about 30 seconds where it doesn't let me search for casual matches until some kind of connection is reestablished, but I think this is a general problem with the game. The gameplay is totally playable.
With the 64-bit client, only some launch configurations are required, nothing complicated. However, it seems likely that future updates may require other tricks or settings. It's important to note that previous launch configurations might not work now because they were designed for 32-bit.
