My FFXIV_BOOT.cfg and FFXIV.cfg files were located in /home/$USER/Documents/My Games/FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn. You need to run the launcher first to generate the My Games directory and files. I changed "Browser" in FFXIV_BOOT.cfg from 2 to 1 and that fixed the launcher. Then when I launched the game, it black screened, so I needed to changed "CutsceneMovieOpening" in FFXIV.cfg from 0 to 1 and that let me choose my server and login with my character.

I used Mrrrrrr.Tux’s custom prefix instead by just replacing the 42910 folder under /SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata

I had to use the 4GB Patch from https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371 to prevent crashing when loading into levels. I ran the command wine 4gb_patch.exe Magicka.exe to fix it. Now I can play on 1440p with low graphics, increasing them any further crashes the game.
