Enjoyable game. If you're not bothered by poor performance, you'll be fine. If you are, wishlist it and wait.
Occasional texture flickering (could also be due to Early Access).
Runs terribly (because Early Access) so I tried out different Proton versions to see whether I could get decent performance. GloriousEggroll performed the best so I stuck with it. Experimental and 8.0.3 were as bad as each other and resulted in my entire PC slowing down.
You'll have to get used to the fact that this game requires a lot of work so expect to fall through floors.
It will run terribly regardless of Proton version. Pick whichever one gives you the best performance. Your enjoyment depends on how tolerant you are of sitting under 60 fps. On my rig, it has fallen below 30 pretty regularly.
Regardless, it's a fantastic game.
Used to work. Dunno what changed but launcher crashes with a JavaScript error and then game doesn't launch
When the game released, it did used to work albeit temperamentally. It used to crash while loading battles but then suddenly started working properly. I stopped playing for a little while but when I came back to it, the game wouldn't launch at all. First dialog box that shows up says "Unable to start the launcher" then another shows up with a JavaScript error that mentions electron among other things. The screen then goes black for a couple seconds before it crashes.
I put GE as my version because that's what I played with but I get this error regardless of Proton version. I've looked at my Proton Logs but can't see anything in there that gives a hint to the issue.
