Install https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install, disable Esync and Steam overlay. If game hangs after intro, disable it as described in https://www.gog.com/forum/thronebreaker_the_witcher_tales/how_to_skip_diable_intro_videos_tutorial. No notable issues found after 6 hours of gameplay.
