Fullscreen is REQUIRED
Only happened once probably due to crashing, had to delete EldenRing file with the .sl2 fiels
EAC works just fine
You can enable bleeding edge going into library view --> select everything to be viewable --> right click on Proton Experimental in library --> properties --> beta --> bleeding edge --> then force experimental on Elden Ring
__GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATION=1 %command% gamemoderun %command% PROTON_USE_DX9K=1
Had to change settings (the location is on pcgamingwiki) to manually raise it to 144hz. Native has horrible performance in game as Open GL sucks, as does proton using OpenGL paradox launcher settings. Use DirectX 9 in the paradox launcher settings. Tested with GE and Experimental but only 7.0.3 works as both either cause a black screen or game won't launch.
DO NOT USE OPENGL
prime-run %command% __GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATION=1 __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia %command% gamemoderun %command%
Updating this as I was able to fix it. You need to add "disable-gpu" to "~/.paradoxlauncher/launcher-v2.2022.9/Paradox Launcher" the bottom line so it looks like this "${SCRIPTPATH}"/Launcher --no-sandbox -disable-gpu "$@" Do that for both of the Paradox Launcher programs (two folders in .paradoxlauncher/"
The steps mentioned are only neccessary with a Optimus System (nvidia and intel graphics card)
Either would refuse to launch or would launch and have a mirrored shot of my desktop and crash
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8,ScriptHookRDR2,version=n,b" %command%
Seems to be a bit of screen tearing on nvidia cards, but could just be me. Able to get a solid 60-70fps
For whatever reason, using gamemode would cause my game to occasionally freeze, just not using it I think I froze once, and that was probably due to intensive scenes.
Launch options include modding support for scripthook and lml. For graphics, follow this https://pastebin.com/YjJ06nuj (not mine but found on a reddit thread). I recommend using FSR for a noticeable stability boost, but it does add some sort of motion blur-ish effect.
