Only Proton 6.5-GE-2 had my controller, cinematics, and V-Sync all working. Other versions of GE had one of those things broken. Also, changing Proton versions would delete my saves, so be aware.
Doesn't seem to run at all
I spent an hour or so trying different versions of proton, and it always failed to start. It's worth mentioning, it fails to start on windows as well when installed on my network drive, and only plays correctly if installed locally. Seems frail in that regard.
Before it refused to launch, but when Proton 7 came out I tried it with 7.2GE and it's working now.
Either manually setup mediafoundation, or use Proton GloriousEggroll edition, which I find much easier. Other than that, it's running perfect. Oh, I'm using Proton 5.21-GE1. Proton DB just won't let me select that.
This was a driver issue. I had the amdvlk driver on my arch system. Installing vulkan-radeon and forcing it resolved the slowness.
Runs really well on my PC after the latest updates and getting the correct driver. Before, it would hard hang while compiling shaders, but now I'm really enjoying it more than even my Steam Deck since it runs smoother and at better graphics quality.
