I'm using a Tiling manager, and when the window lost focus it would go black. Changing workspaces and going back fixed the game without any noticable remnant issue.
Video Crashing
About 8 hour hours into the game, a cutscene will attempt to play after you are prompted for a choice. The game will immediately crash.
Unable to find a fix for the issue at this time; GE builds have no fix and Media Foundation has no effect.
On Steam in the game properties, set:

[ Disabled ] Enable the Steam overlay while in-game
[ Disabled ] Use Desktop Game Theatre while SteamVR is active
=== Compatibility Tab ===
[ Enabled ] Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool
"Proton 5.0-10"
Open a terminal and run the following commands either one-by-one or by copy & paste.
