Minor issue with alt-tabbing, otherwise works fine

Game CTD's when alt-tabbed out during a load screen
If you are alt-tabbed out when the game finishes loading something (such as the splash screens on launch into the main menu or the world generator to the Dupes selection screen) the game will crash.
Alt tabbing to and from the game works normally all other times. So don't alt-tab during a loading screen.

used the EVO music mod, no problems installing it
The opening video had desync'd audio and video (minor, the audio ended ~30sec before the video) but I played through all 50 hours of the game just fine. The ending video and trailer for the sequel both played fine with synced audio so I think it's an issue with just the opening video. I alternated between playing on my Steam Deck and on my PC.
