It worked right out of the box with no issues.
I saw the game on Asmongold and had to try it. I was glad there were no issues with it on my Steam Deck.

"PROTON_USE_WINED3D12=1" made the most improvement for me after a lot of experimenting with other launch commands recommended here. It runs way better than on Windows!

Right clicking on the game and selecting close will return you to the game and ask if you really want to quit.
It plays exactly how it should
I use GE-Proton7-20 because it's the most recent one that will still add a resolution I want to upscale from to 1080p (1477x831). If the newer versions added proper resolutions to this game I'd use them.

My friend wanted me to get Subsistance so that I could play it with him, and i looked to see if it ran on Linux first. It had been a year since anyone had posted anything about this game, so I figured I'd give it a try to see how well it works with Proton in it's current state. It launched right away! I had no issues playing the game at all. The only issue that my friend and I ran into was more than likely on his end because he uses pocket WiFi and lives in Japan, and I in the U.S. I'd rank this game higher than the silver status that it has currently.
