It's 100% enjoyable if the random crashes were not a thing. The game runs perfectly fine and then randomly crashes.
Due to the crashes, I'm unable to get past the tutorial. It crashes at a random point, which sends me back to the start.
Perhaps the game is too new and Proton has not had a chance to update. Perhaps it's an issue with Epic Games and their random dependencies they install at random times. Verifiying game files did nothing. Changing network did nothing.
The infinite loading screen is probably a server-sided issue and I haven't seen any evidence of it being a user issue yet so I won't be commenting on that.
The game runs just as good as it does on Windows. It runs seemingly fine, you load in and no stutters no lag spikes no weird artifacts, everything is perfect. Then all of a sudden, not doing anything abnormal or out of the ordinary, be it fighting, interacting with an objective or just walking, it randomly crashes.
The game is awesome, I love it. But it is quite literally unplayable on Steam as of 19th of Oct, 2024, and has been for the past month now.
SteamDeck=1 %command%
At launch, game crashed very frequently. To the point where I could only play half a mission per day. Eventually it was fixed, but as of Patch 3.0, I am unable to play the game without the SteamDeck=1 %command% arg, and even with it, the game crashes even more than before now.
The developers don't seem to have any intention of fixing the issue with the Anti-Cheat for Linux. And the half-assed "fix" for the SteamDeck just makes the game worse. It guts performance, and the game crashes even more than before. It crashes so much, I can't get through ONE operation. Game is unplayable.
Steam Support is not offering refunds, even though it's been over a month and after talking to support, they claimed that the game was never supported for Linux. Scummy, save your money.
