Works as intended (playing with DX11 activated).
At first I tried playing with XIVLauncher as informed by other. Did worked for the most part. I had some lag issues that seem to be related to "--parent-share-pids --parent-pid=1" which allows XIVLauncher to close the game after you exit. I had some issues where I had to forefully close steam to exit FFXIV online.
Im currently running it with normal "proton experimental" without any launch options. Some problems with the icons in the upper right corner on the SE launcher. That's it.
I would encourage you to run with just "proton experimental" before trying XIVLauncher.
Auto save will freeze the game until it's done. Saved games takes a very long time to load.
Flickering
Fedora changed from X11 to Wayland (Nobara from 40 to 41). Running this game on Wayland with an Nvidia GPU will cause regular flickering to occur. Changed from GE-Proton9-15 to 9-25 increased performance by a lot.
The game starts without any performance loss but as your base gets larger and the materials you gather become more, theres a significant loss in performance. During invasions its lagging.
This game is in early access, once the game has been optimized Im sure its going to be better.
I get a Critical error while trying to quit the game. Error happened due to processing another error: Failed to create base folder for crash reports, path À/6 \reports Application would be closed. It dosent effect the game adversly in any way other then possible taking alittle longer to quit.
