Game doesn't start under Proton (no tweaks)
Doesn't run out of the box, looks like we'll need some tweaks/hacks to get it working. Sad state for a 'cross platform' engine.
It becomes increasingly unplayable due to the black screen issues experienced after 1-2 hours of gameplay.
Frequent black screens resulting in the entire display seeming to disconnect and reconnect.
Initial issues with black screens, display resets were resolved by upgrading to the latest version of Mesa. After which game plays flawless.
Note: Steamplay not enabled by default for this title.
Game doesn't start
Out of the box, the game just doesn't start, no signs of life not even a flicker.
Performance is pretty terrible at 4K, 20fps
Crashes on startup if my bluetooth headphones are connected.
Doesn't even start for me, no errors just returns to Steam. Tried all available versions of Proton up to and including 5.0-9
First run installers are completely broken, vulkan runtime installer, Rockstar Social Club installer all get stuck.
No matter what command line arguments, or proton versions were tried the install will fail 99 times out of 100. I have a 8 hour 'play time' but in reality 7.5 hours of this were spent trying to make installation work. One time something suddenly started working and for a brief time the game ran, but the following day it went back to failing to start due to 'page file' issue after which I was back to social club updates failing.
Crashes after splash screen after Warfare 1 update
The game works fine with proton, after installing missing dependencies, if you roll back to the previous release (1.97) through the Steam betas. However the latest version is currently not working at all.
