Just make sure to enable windowed mode; its a shame it cannot be forced like that through the Steam launch options.
Performance is unplayable in fullscreen; had to progress through the initial screens by constantly pressing the 'super'/'windows' key which would remember the last button I pressed while it was frozen.
Once I'd set it as windowed mode, it ran fine.
Unplayable in fullscreen- constantly freezing. As soon as in windowed mode, performs fine though.
Seems like my system is unusual in how games have such significant performance issues when in fullscreen mode.
Fullscreen didn't work until the Nvidia driver was updated to the latest version.
Game crashes almost instantly with the latest version of Proton, and can potentially cause a system lockup. Make sure you use proton 7 (the only one I've tested with that works, haven't tried older ones though).
Game insta-crashes at the very first cutscene
Tried various versions of Proton (4, 7, 9) as well as the custom launch option to force DX11 rendering. Nothing made any difference.
The best result I got was with Proton 4, where the game actually got past the cutscene but performance was so awful it was unplayable.
Mostly runs as expected, although you may run into a graphical freeze from time to time.
Game runs on most versions of Proton, but has graphical stability issues on some versions more than others.

Followed the guide here: https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/how-to-update-nw-js-to-dramatically-improve-game-performance.131620/
Downloaded the latest 64 bit Linux NW player. Moved the old files to an 'old' folder, then extracted the new files into the 'data' directory of the game.
Finally, rename the 'nw' executable to 'YM'.
After doing this and setting the launch option mentioned, it will run the game as native linux which will drastically improve performance. It should also eliminate any crashes/instability.
This also means it doesn't matter what version of proton you use, since it will actually be running native with this modification.
I strongly recommend taking the steps to get this running natively as it will prevent intermittent crashes that can get frustrating after a while.
