After clicking play in steam it shows the new world startscreen but then freezes and force quits. Tried several things. Like changing nvidia driver to older versions and even the noveau driver. Also tried several proton versions, like the GE, the experimental and the standard proton versions.

My system runs on fresh install of Linux Mint cinnamon 21.2. The supposed failure to play is caused by the fact that I've a nvidia GPU. For AMD GPUs it works I've been told.
