Multiplayer won't launch but single player works fine, if you don't care about the multiplayer the game runs perfectly minus de video issue.

Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF Supports the game with sound out of the box no need to use install mf anymore just rename the Video folder to something else like video.old, this folder is inside the assets folder in the game's install directory.
If you don't rename the video folder the game will crash at launch, renaming it will produce an error each time you launch the game but you just click ok and the game will launch anyway, you will be able to play the game but you won't have FMVs
I couldn't get into multiplayer but single player works out of the box with no tweaking at all.

Games run absolutely great, just a little bit slower than windows.
About 10 - 15 fps slower compared to windows
On windows my pc is able to maintain 60 fps locked with everything on ultra nightmare and vsync on, on linux this same pc has drops to 50 - 45 in some areas, solved by tweaking the in game graphical settings.
Menus don't show up because the directx installer included with game fails during initial setup. This is how i got it working.
Install directx's dll through protontricks, that will make the menus works, getting great performance and no bugs!

Note, the first time you run it after you install the DLLs you may get slow performance for no reason, the work around for this is: switch the resolution to your native resolution, then switch it back to 720p, then close the game and open it again and the performance problems will go away, you will be able to run the game fine.

In order for the game to launch without any errors, you must install directx 11, otherwise the first time you run it, it will crash (though you can run it safe mode) Just run protontricks, select the install a Windows DLL or component, then select d3dx11_42 and d3dx11_43 and let the installer do its magic (there will be no confirmation box or anything, it's a silent install, if you get some sort of pop up or something like that, then something went wrong).
After doing this, the game will run perfectly with no issues.
Game crashes if you don't manually install directx11, which you can do easily via protontricks
Again, REQUIRES YOU TO MANUALLY INSTALL DIRECTX11 OR THE GAME WILL CRASH THE FIRST TIME! (but works in safe) Directx11 can be easily installed via protontricks
