Works out of the box with latest Proton 6.3-7
No issues encountered - everything worked perfectly (audio, graphics, input) including accessing a Steam Cloud save.
Tried with and without esync, no change in performance.
(Reported experimental version: Experimental (Build ID: 7659246))
Tried both 6.19-GE-2 and 6.20-GE-1; would not launch with either. Only launches with Proton Experimental and stable; best performance was on Experimental but was still susceptible to performance drop after some gameplay.
Audio quality drops hand-in-hand with overall performance.
After only a couple minutes performance drops through the floor (massive frame drops, input lag, etc.) whereas it initially plays ok - possible memory issue. Saving the game seems to restore some performance temporarily, but will return to poor performance shortly after.
Works Perfectly, No Tweaks Required
Tested latest Stable (6.3-7) and Experimental, both functioned flawlessly
riftbreaker_dll_win_Release.dll Error & App Error
Both game launching and config tool launching fail. Tried Experimental, same result.
Frequent crashes keep game from being too enjoyable, but can be playable with enough perseverance.
Proton-6.19-GE-2
Crashes every 10-20 minutes
Had to start/install with GE version of Proton, but since then can play with standard Proton without .dll errors occurring including using Config Tool.
Proton-6.20-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
6.20 version of Glorious Eggroll Proton fork seems to have fixed regular crashes, played for an hour with 0 issues
