Had to modify systemd DefaultLimitNOFILE towards the end of the game due to "eventfd: Too many open files" error.
Occassionally the background would go funky; some inventory graphics did not load properly; the game was too good to care about this though and a reload solved it if unplayable.

NO_ESYNC makes performance worse so don't use that. NO_FSYNC and LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE have no visible effect.
