Open game in desktop mode. Close the game. Disable Ubisoft overlay in the sittings. That should fix the crashing.

Hello ro all monster hunter wilds and steam deck fans i jave found a way to get a good experience on wilds I'm going to put my settings in the post. This is a somewhat earlier review for the settings but I have played up to the doshaguma fight without crashes and keeping an average of 30 to 40 fps. So go ahead and get it a go and have fun out there. SETTINGS....... Screen mode- windowed mode Screen resolution- 1280 x 720 Aspect ratio- automatic Uncapped frame rate cutscene and background frame rate/-off Hdr output- auto Graphics settings- custom Cutscene graphics- do not adjust Upscaling- AMD FSR 3 Frame generation- enabled Upscaling mode- balanced Upscaling shapeless- 0.50 Texture quality- low Texture filtering- medium (aniso x4) Mesh quality- medium Fur quality- low Shy/cloud quality- lowest Grass/cloud quality/-medium Grass/tree sway- enable Wind simulation quality- low Surface quality- low Sind/snow quality- medium Water effects- enable Render distance- low Shadow quality- low Distant shadow quality- high Shadow distance- near Ambient light quality- low Contact shadows- disable Ambient occlusion- medium Bloom- off Motion blur- off Vignette effect- on Screen space reflection- off SSSS scattering- off Depth of field- on Volumetric fog- low Variable rate shading- off

To fix the crashing open the game in desktop mode. close the game. go to settings in the Ubisoft launcher disable the overlay.
Fixed by by turning off Ubisoft overlay from the launcher in desktop mode
After doing that the game should work without crashing
