Just download the GE proton and follow the readme for it. It solved all the issues I had with black screen after games.

Performance:Slight Performance Problems
Takes a while for me to load into the game. I suspect that is because I am at the very minimum requirements for hardware.
Without protonGE, the game would play fine but I would get an occasional black screen at the end of the match and have to restart the game to keep playing.
