Works perfectly out-of-the-box
At first there was some frame drop during the cutscenes (from 75 - v-sync on, 75Hz monitor - to 63 fps), so I switched to Proton-GE7-55. After a full gameplay at 75fps stable, I played id again with the proton version recommended by Steam, to see how valid the default was; I experienced some frame drops during gameplay, according to the Steam launcher - I have checked the fps counter option in the Steam launcher settings - , but I didn't really noticed anything different, so I can conclude that the default settings are also perfectly suitable for this game.
Switch to Proton7.0-6, with the last versions you won't get past the headlines.
With Proton Experimental you can't get past the main menu: the game gets stuck on a black screen, while the audio keeps playing (I had this same problem with Cult of the Lamb, using Lutris' Wine). Glorious Eggroll's build makes everything run normally.
