The looping background videos work, but will freeze after a moment, only to later unfreeze, probably because the character on screen would change position or expression.
I played through 1 and a half route so far (Hino's route completed, with Isora's halfway done) and have not experienced any of the crashes you would get when playing the game on Windows. The graphical issue of the looping videos isn't game breaking or even that annoying.
Game works as intended so far, but if I run into issues later in my runs, I'll update my report, as I have not gotten to the routes that crash the game more in Windows.

Functions well out of the box except for cutscenes - enable GE-Proton7-20 to get them working
Cutscene videos don't play on default Proton
I've almost finished the game and have had no stability issues or crashes at all. The only issue I encountered was with cutscene videos not working, which was fixed when using GE-Proton7-20. Cloud saves also function, so enjoy switching between big screen and handheld!
Requires GE-Proton7-20 or GE-Proton7-37 for cutscenes to work but otherwise runs perfectly fine
Surprisingly stable despite all the reports of crashing on Steam. No bugs and only one crash in 13 hours of gameplay. It does require GE-Proton-7-20 or GE-Proton7-37 for cutscenes to run properly.
