Downloaded a completely optional QOL Mod. No tinkering otherwise.
Recommend downloading this mod which adds QOL features like Dialogue History, Auto-play, Fast-forward, etc etc: https://www.nexusmods.com/phoenixwrightaceattorneytrilogy/mods/5 The mod does have 1 minor issue I've encountered, occasionally the text box will freeze up. You can fix this by saving and reloading.

Dropped refresh rate on oled to 60 from 90hz. Maybe go for 30 if you want even better battery life (none of this is necessary)

FPS lock -> 30 fps / Half Rate shading = enabled / TDP limit -> 3w / GPU clock -> 300 MHz
Played the game from start to finish without issues. Sometimes the resolution when starting the game is wrong but as soon as you enter the main menu it fixes itself. The tweaks for battery allow the LCD deck model to have about 7hs of battery while playing, without any loss in visual quality or compromising gameplay experience.

Sometimes the game would not boot on start up. All I did to remedy this was close the game and start it up again. This always worked.

Set watt to 5w. (For 60fps!)

Dropped TDP to 3 W, limited frames to 30 fps.
Faint crackling very infrequently.
This isn't a demanding game so make sure to optimize for battery life.

Game works perfectly when framerate is capped at 60. Touchpad controls are a plus; just like the DS days.
Change right trackpad to move Mouse, and "Touch" command to left click (this lets me "examine" areas easier). Changed back grip buttons to "A button" (Confirm/Examine) and "Y Button" (Present Evidence).
TDP and GPU Clock can be lowered quite a bit without slowdown. I use the lowest settings.
The game can be blurry on first start up due to low default resolution. Set the resolution in the game's settings.
Sometimes audio can become horribly distorted after waking from sleep. Saving and restarting the game always fixed this.
Game can be choppy when "panning" (courtroom scenes, examining 2-screen rooms). Cap framerate to make this less noticeable.
Also, disabling ingame V-Sync and keeping Steam's V-Sync on ("Allow Tearing" off) may help with latency and smoothness.

Game runs perfectly, finished it on the Steam deck. The few times it shows keyboard icons or starts at a weird resolution do not affect the gameplay at all.

Minor hickups while the camera is sliding left and right during trials

The game may launch with wrong resolution, but resolution is right in main menu and story.

Game sometimes starts with a weird resolution, but fixes itself once you get to the main menu.

Set TDP limit to 4w, but it's not necessary. I got 5+ hours of battery.
The game runs out of the box.

made right trackpad press Left Mouse Click instead of being right stick click
3W TDP
Keyboard prompts show up sometimes instead of controller prompts, but it's only if you accidentally touch the screen or use the mouse.

Sometimes displays keyboard prompts instead of or alongside gamepad prompts.

There's a minor visual hiccup, but only on first startup. Keyboard prompts are sometimes displayed in menus, but it plays flawlessly.
The game briefly displays at the wrong resolution upon first startup, but the problem fixes itself by the time you reach the title screen. There are keyboard prompts present during menus, but they don't show up during actual gameplay.
Opens up at a weird resolution but resolves itself
Has non-gamepad controller glyphs throughout
30 fps
Funky resolution during startup, but works fine when it reaches the main menu.
Very minor issue as the game starts in the wrong resolution, but fixes itself once you get to the main menu
Played in Japanese, no issues with default locale settings
Game doesn't display proper resolution at first. Issue goes away once the menu appears.
