Vsync needs to be enabled. With too high FPS the movies play with wrong audio sync. The game also has issues with too high fps (e.g. running with too fast speed). GE-Proton8-24 has introduced decoders for old movie formats which enable the movies in this game. The game plays perfect. I've had no issues so far. Although I only have played for about an hour.
Some missing video scenes
Newer versions of Proton failed to launch, had to use 5.0-10 or 4.11-13 to get it running.
Disabling Esync made it crash less
Mouse acceleration too sensitive, part. when on foot.
You can play it, but remember to save as much as you can, at least you will be able to load after crash
No auto save if game crashes
The game will crash if you travel right after save

Almost perfect.
Mouse acceleration is insane during the on-foot levels of the campaign.
- Opt-in to the beta branch to get access to the v1.07 patch.
- Pre-rendered cutscenes don't play for some reason.

Mouse acceleration is way too fast. You need to be very careful by pushing the mouse..
Default steam runtime(5.0.x?) crashed at the end of the intro missions BEFORE command of the carrier is taken.
If set to proton 4.11-13 the game continues and works as expected.
Maybe slightly slower compared to the proton 5.0.x version but still impressive!
Proton 4.11.10 seems to have fixed all the graphical glitches, this seems to work cleanly now.

Performance is generally good, map screen textures aren't working and some of the first person levels in buildings appear to have an issue with lighting, making it near impossible to find your way around in the dark. After about an hour experienced a crash as well.

Runs out of the box without tweaks, but map textures are broken and it crashed at one checkpoint. No problem with gamma. Performance is flawless.

no gamma correction in the settings menu in the game, so too dark strategic map

Runs well so far, no problems with graphics or audio, although I found the mouse to be hyper-sensitive. I haven't spent much time playing it so far.

Traversing the Old Factory on campaign start is not possible. Seems some mechanics do not trigger correctly and you find yourself locked in, reloading then crashes the game.

Demoting this one to Stable: While it renders very smoothly and draws most graphical features perfectly, there is a problem with Gamma control not working. The Map screen shows only black lines where it should be light-grey/blue, making playing the game from the map screen very difficult. Also, the sound is...odd. Sometimes the correct sound effect doesn't play at the right time (e.g. engine noise), and even music can cut out.

This notoriously shonky game runs just as well as it did on Windows.

The game crashes while alt-tabbing. The performance is somewhat poor but it's playable (you should be able to achieve 60 fps with medium settings)
