Runs pretty great with ALVR to stream to a standalone VR headset.

All my Windows Games run by default on Experimental.
I only tinkered on Steam VR (because I'm using Hyprland):
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/bin/vrmonitor.sh %command%

To get past the tutorial i had to switch to "oldindexbuild" beta.
With Proton 9.0-3 or Experimental, it just hangs until exited. After switching back to Proton 8.0-5 it runs perfectly again.

Does not start
SteamVR works fine, and there are no visible error dialogs for me to check. The game simply does not start.

To skip tutorial after watchin the intro:
edit ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/587430/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Schell Games/IEYTD/IEYTDProgress.zor
and change bytes 0x25f and 0x3b7 to 1.

Tutorial doesn't detect triggers
Played on Quest 2 with ALVR 20.4.3

My controller triggers worked in-game, but the tutorial didn't recognize it. Played on Quest 3 via ALVR
Couldn't get past tutorial.

The trigger button worked correctly(my finger moved in-game when I pressed it), but I couldn't get past the tutorial because it didn't think I was pressing the trigger button.
Also, the controllers vibrate every time I used the trigger or grip buttons.
Couldn't get past tutorial, as mentioned above.
Tried on Quest 2 via ALVR.

With the default version, controllers vibrate when grabbing anything, "oldindexbuild" beta has mismapped and wonky controls. Played on the Valve Index.

Valve Index. Works with beta versions.
I can choose between the "compatiblity" beta, where controllers vibrate while holding them, or "oldindexbuild" with wonky telekinesis and annoying controller bindings. Mouse seems to work too (in all versions), but I haven't figured out how to open drawers. Runs smoothly otherwise.
Gets to tutorial but cant use controller triggers

Valve Index works with a mouse, but the Index controllers aren't recognised properly and you can't pass the tutorial
Despite being able to see your hands and interact with the environment in the tutorial, including using the triggers to pick things up and fire the gun, when the tutorial asks you to click to progress it doesn't register.
The tutorial and first level worked fine when using the mouse, but it's not the same experience.
With valve index, everything works fine.

Doesn't recognize the position of Index Controllers at all
The game renders in the headset as intended and I can get to the game, but can't complete the tutorial because my controller movement isn't recognized. Button presses work, and also the controllers keep vibrating constantly as long as the grip is being touched with any force at all.

Launches in window not on headset
The game won't launch at all without adding PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 to the launch arguments. Even when it does launch, it launches in a window on my monitor, not in my headset. Also, the audio is scratchy and controllers don't work. On valve index

Won't launch at all
Using Valve Index. Launching the game sends it to the loading screen, and then it crashes
Game starts fine but no usable hands for the Valve Index controllers.
The Valve Index Controllers started flipping out while playing the intro scene, this was because gripping them is seen as an action and vibrates them. So, if you want to enjoy the intro, let go of your controllers.
Great experience with an HTC Vive

I have no hand using Index controller
The tutorial begin, but I have no hand displayed and thus cannot play. I have a Valve Index and I installed the game's beta that is supposed to add support for the knuckles.
Worked out of the box
Used Proton 5.13.2
Runs great out of the box
Using an HTC Vive. No issues to note. Also a great game.
Works perfectly out of the box.
HTC Vive.
Works pretty much like native

Fails on startup with error:
Failed to initialize graphics. Make sure you have DirectX 11 installed, have up to date drivers for your graphics card and have not disabled 3D acceleration in display settings. InitializeEngineGraphics failed
I tried PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 which didn't showed the error but failed anyway.

Everything worked perfectly.

Everything works perfectly

works great without any issues

Works just great. I didn't test controllers, but with mouse it works just fine. No problems with graphic, no problems with anything, just like native

Takes a little while to start up
