Gameplay is tied to framerate. Forcing a lower framerate when the game is set at 60 fps from the options menu will cause slowdown of all gameplay facets.
If framerates become unstable for any reason, your gameplay will suffer. You will need to change the fps cap to 30 to allow for a stable experience.
To do this, you will need to go into the main menu on the title screen. Set the framerate cap to 30.
Because forcing the game to run at 40hz when the ingame cap is set to 60 will cause slow down. You're stuck with the 30fps in game cap provided for a stable experience.
Forcing the game to run using Glorious Eggroll will allow you to see prerendered cutscenes on the steam deck.

If you run the game through glorious eggroll you will be able to play the game with visible cut scenes. I have only played it through version 7-16 of GE but it was able to run at 60 fps flawlessly.
Runs very smooth in most situations (45-60 fps) on High using default Deck power management.
60 FPS, Movies OFF, High Quality, 720p
FMVs do not render, only audio. Fixable by disabling videos in launcher.
With FMV codec would be near-perfect.
FMV's do not appear to be working, you will hear the sound and you can tell its working but they do not display.
If you dont mind the FMV's not working the game if fully playable, I didnt experiance any issues other then the FMV's It really was plug and play in terms of getting the actual game working
I have played the entire game with 1080p 60fps and mouse/keyboard. Everything works without any problems, including video/cutscenes and the achievements.
Note: GE-Proton7-9 GloriousEggroll is needed for playing the movies.

A game that should work, but stopped by DRM.
This game has every right to run perfectly, but unfortunately the Denuvo DRM causes the game to crash frequently, and causes the game to get stuck on loading screens. Basically, in order to play the game, you have to "find" a copy without the drm. Ridiculous.
In order to get sound working, you can use proton-tkg https://github.com/Frogging-Family/wine-tkg-git/releases and then, install xact_x64 into the game's prefix via winetricks. After that, uninstall your faudio and lib32-faudio packages (if you are on Arch or Arch based, that is), because otherwise the game will still use faudio and sound will break, and it should work like a charm.

Does not start
I tried several tweaks including the launch args PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% and disabling the movies as suggested, no luck.

First you must launch the Configuration tool and choose the option of scenes to off and then the game is released correctly but without the intro
