Значительные просадки по сравнению с Windows
mangohud gamemoderun %command%

Audio crackles when other programs play at high volume
Loading vehicle files sometimes takes a while

Stormworks on linux, works great. It works out of the box.
Love stormworks, runs great on Linux. I've used alot of distro's, and it's worked great on all of them.

After running for a while, all text just dissapears.
Runs perfectly without any issues on an AMD GPU with Wayland and KDE Plasma 6. Using Proton-GE

Windows saves did not load (or even appear)

occurs sometimes when starting the game and always occurs when switching windows. fixed by windowing the game resizing the window and reentering fullscreen.
screen flickers slightly in the editor every few seconds
fixed by switching windows windowing the window resizing the window then reentering full screen.
make sure to save often especially with complex creations
i had to switch to the nvidia beta drivers for it to work on wayland without the screen flickering. it works out of the box on x11 except for having to use proton of course.
it could probably be made better by doing a little bit more configuration

does not launch
prime-run %command%

the game won't run on any proton
I don't know how to run the game I hope someone will help me I tried methods but they didn't work

Works perfectly out of the box
- No gameplay difference between linux and windows
- Steam background recording does not work
- Any crash, performance or graphics issues will be just as bad on windows
-force-vulkan -gfx-enable-gfx-jobs 0

better than windows

-force-vulkan -gfx-enable-gfx-jobs 0
it did not like AMD GPU hence the launch arguments.
Memory leaks or something, sim speed drops to nothing after a while of playing but that is what you get when you code your entire game with python.
Game does run, however could be better. I feel part of it is the developers fault with how the game was developed and the technologies used.
Worked out of the box
gamemoderun mangohud %command%

Playable, with occasional severe performance issues that can impact gameplay
Sometimes the whole window gets corrupted after Alt+Tab
Occasional severe slowdown of gameplay in multiplayer, after which everything gets replayed in quick time lapse until it catches up. Some sessions I have no issues with that at all, others it happens often.
When it's a lucky session without performance degradation it runs perfectly. When you're unlucky it's a chore to get through (or it kills you because commands are lagging)

works the same as windows
in fullscreen, when tabbing out of the game then tabbing back in, the window becomes very glitchy
when tabbing out in full screen, window becomes full of graphical effects
Works identical to when I ran it on Windows.
Perfect with Proton 8.0-5

This has a Gold rating and I would have agreed with that until I tried to use a crane. I found ropes, cables and hoses ultra janky. The crane I tested wouldn't even work, the cable would rubbereband and then violently launch the load into the air. The physics with complicated vehicles with lots of moving parts looked on edge, twitching and spasming like they're about to explode. The same save file worked perfectly in windows.
It works fairly well but not not fully functional. I'm abandoning it until proton improves.
Works without any difficulties.

Very slow simulation speed with multiple vehicles in world, especially on multiplayer.
Very slow simulation speed at times

It should work perfectly fine with proton.

The issues end up making the game unplayable eventually.
Using in-game monitors comes with significant issues on older AMD hardware, such issues could be avoided by having the monitors refresh all pixels when first displaying content.
Full screen is a fairly common issue with this game, causing some instability and other issues.
Game is significantly slower than it is on windows, and often freezing when playing.
Game sometimes fully freezes when playing on linux, on windows it's fine.
It's fairly well known that this game doesn't have the best multiplayer experience, it's not entirely avoidable for such game.
When playing on longr sessions the game will eventually grind down to a point where using the workbench will freeze the game for several minutes before it loads. Trying to join a multiplayer that's locked with a password it will freeze for some time before confirming the password is correct or incorrect.
Exact same as windows
One year later, still does not launch.
Loads into menu perfectly, but crashes upon reaching 100% when loading a save.
as long as you have a NVIDIA card you shouldn't have to worry about the graphics errors I encountered
A common and well known bug with AMD graphics cards is the ingame monitors will be distorted and at times unreadable, on windows AMD fixed this, but it seems linux has been neglected, unless I am dumb of course
the issue lies on AMD to fix the drivers for Linux, unless I am stupid and just didn't install the right drivers
Snap version of Steam failed on me, Flatpak ran ok
After the previous report, I noticed that MY issue was NOT Stormworks specific. Clean OS install, snap same (not good) results, Flatpak worked.
A word of advice: MY hardware as of 1.7.5 update FAILS TO PROVIDE MORE THAN 10 FPS (at the benchmark). That would probably be considered unplayable by most- hardware AT OR BELOW minimum requirements
Prior to 1.7.5 (rope update) was launching with 7.0-6 . Now it will not nor with Experimental nor 7.0-6
Possible marginal system requirements ?
Broken after the ropes update
Worked perfectly before the ropes update, now it just opens a black window, which closes after a few seconds on non-evperimental versions, and it just sits on "preparing to launch" on experimental
works with proton experimental, broken on non experimental after the ropes update
after the ropes update stormworks shows a window for about 30 seconds and then crashes, never even showing the stormworks logo
game no longer runs after the ropes update
Fails to load into world
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Able to run the game and loads, but when it starts spawning me in, the game crashes. Launch options remedies this and the character creation screen appears, but interacting with it in any way crashes the game.
