Yay! It finally works for me as of patch 2.0.2 with proton experimental, patch 2.0.1 didn't work at all with the fixes on this page

Started scenario, clicked couple of options, worked fine. Will update after playing a round of boardgame.
Seems fine to me with Proton 7.0-1... Might need to check the old reports if you have issues but I didn't...

Game works just fine after uncommenting PROTON_USE_WINED3D from the ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Proton 5.0/user_settings.py
PROTON_USE_WINED3D set to 1 by using vim to edit user_settings.py
When the game does an in-game update you might see TOKEN_DESC_V11_MAD28 on some level selection, just restart the game and text appears normally from there on.


Initially got the same d3d11 error another user reported. After applying their tweak, the game appears to run fine. (I only went through the setup, since I don't own the physical cardboard components.)



game engine itself runs fine but the words are completely gone when set language to chinese or japanese.


Played through the Astral Alchemy scenario with no issues


Initially got "d3d11: failed to create D3D11 device (0x80004005)" error, in ".local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/" you find a Proton folder and in that folder will be a sample "user_settings.sample.py" file that you need to rename to "user_settings.py". Edit the file and uncomment ""PROTON_USE_WINED3D": "1",". You may need to restart.
I spent considerable time searching so hope this helps someone.
