PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 gamemoderun %command%
Crashes frequently when started with Proton Experimental. After switching to Proton 8.0-5 it works more stable than on win10.

no problem like a native linux game :)

Mouse sensitivity was crazy high by default. Not impossible to play with, but definitely a bit annoying. Didnt seem to have any option to change it in game.
I dont think it's specific to Linux, but it does chug performance wise from tome to time.

Mouse scrollwheel does not function properly on battle map. It only zooms all the way in or out, but not in-between.
There was significant artifacting on the campaign map before switching to proton 7-0-6. The scroll wheel on my mouse zooms the campaign map properly, but on the battle map it will only zoom all the way out or all the way in (not in-between). To compensate I mapped the q and e keys to zoom out and in for the battle map (I'm using w-a-s-d for arrow keys).
works perfectly, no issues encountered

Who needs a remaster?
Runs smoothly at 1080p max settings on an iGPU, zero issues - it even manages to restore its state after leaving fullscreen for a screenshot and tasking back in, but you have to wait out a loading bar. Retro Total War ftw
Couldn't get it to work with the normal proton versions. Latest GE version works flawlessly.
On 6.3.8 it would crash unexpectedly - now just works. Still slow loading into battles but it does this on Windows 10.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 gamemoderun %command%

versions newer than 4.11 did not work.
It just werks

Works great 99% of the time, just remember to save frequently
Infrequent crashes after playing cinematics in campaign mode.
I played on 1600x900 because low FPS with 1920x1080 resolution and all graphic details on low or none
Disable the Steam overlay to fix crash after intro. The menu FPS is low, please ignore this.
Everything except for videos works as expected (including the original bugs 😉︎).
Videos don't work (they simply aren't shown), but since they are purely eye-candy, this has no meaningful effect on the enjoyment of the game.
I say although I have some doubts on the stability.
Sometimes it looks like the game hangs, but just wait, it may continue.
Overall, works well with no serious issues. Save before battles.
Small amounts of white flashing near units and the ground. Some objects disappear entirely and reappear for no apparent reason.
Crashes occasionally during battles.
Ironically, compared to windows 10, the proton version didn't crash once. But it has some graphical issues
Perfect out of the box
My computer surpasses the recommended system by a league, even if it is low spec, so I am used to choppiness and low graphics, despite it running cool. This game does the opposite: It is not too choppy, (you can see some sluggishness sporadically), but turns into an electric heater with jet fans as I play the game. Windows users also complain. Might be a DRM issue: Playing this game from DVD makes it work as intended. Problem is in the Steam version.
Works well with no effort
I wasn't able to go to windowed mode in windows either so not being able to do so on linux easily is not a surprise.
a little tearing
Running perfect.
Works perfectly
Good
FPS drops to 30 when I'm moving camera in the global map mode, other than that everything is fine.
It might be a little rough around the edges but it is definetely playable. Expect a heavy hit to your frame rate
sometimes the audio wouldn't play unless you restarted it
some times textures would be missing and shadows can render incorectly. And there was one time the world map just disappeared
Even with my kinda mid range machine, the game right now struggled to maintain 30 fps
It crashed on me a couple of times unexpectantly but the autosave meant that I was able to get right back to where I ws

Runs perfectly. No issues. No lag or framerate issues on my hardware. 3D accelerated rendering and performs in all available resolutions. Fast turns.

The low fps menu was fixed. Running perfectly fine.

Runs perfectly on Pop+OS! 19.04 but make sure you apply resolution changes in settings. Even after changing the settings to everything max hit the apply button at the top where the display options are to set your monitor displays for example mine was 1920x1080. :)

Works better than on Windows 10. Campaign map lag bug is not present in Proton. Widescreen and mouse sensitivity bugs are still present, same as Windows.

Used no tweaks, played offline campaign for a few hours with no issues and it ran fine. My GPU is an AMD FirePro W2100.

FPS at menu and sometimes in-game dips a bit but other than that only the odd shadow glitch was all I noticed in battles.

Performance in main menu is slow, but ingame the fps is perfect, like windows 7.

would not call this platinum as the main menu runs at under 10fps unless you remove or rename the ASF video files /menu/Dump0000.m1v and the folder fmv once you do this the game will run perfectly played through the into tutorial for a quick test.

Launching into campaign and playing skirmish battles work, hangs when exiting the multiplayer lobby.

Played through tutorial and numerous battles, absolutely flawless.

Battles and the campaign map works flawlessly. However, the widescreen option does not work, and any videos won't play.

Runs perfectly. No issues.

a bit laggy at main menu

Played with out a problem for about an hour

Missing video files. Otherwise works as expected.
