Game launces in an unplayable resolution, that stops you from accessing settings (the game logo is stretched over the screen and hides the menu buttons) You need to manually set resolution in /steamapps/compatdata/452540/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/appdata/local/cloverisland/saved/config/windowsnoeditor/gameusersettings.ini
Switched to High preset
Minor tinkering aside, the game defaults to a custom preset, that has most things set to the highest possible settings, which does not perform well on the hardware. Switching to the High preset yealds a stable performance.
The game has a problem the video player. You can fix it by copyuing a bunch of files in the right folders. mf-install (https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install) will do it for you.
- Install the game and launch it to create the compatibility folder (compatdata). Quit the game.
- Download the script anywhere on your hardrive
- In a console, fix the wine prefix to Skylar and Plux by typing : export WINEPREFIX="/your_path_to_steam/steamapps/compatdata/452540/pfx"
- Fix the proton version :
export PROTON=""/your_path_to_steam/steamapps/common/Proton 4.11"
- lauch the script :
/mf-install.sh -proton

Same experience as other report. Menu loaded fine (although it wouldn't properly fullscreen, even in borderless). Opening cutscene is a black screen with audio. You cannot skip it, and nothing loads once it is completed.

The game loads fine until a cutscene begins, where the screen remains blank while the audio plays. The scene skip doesn't work, and the screen remains black when the audio finishes. Tried "Disable Esync", "Disable D3d11" and "Use Wine D3d11" Tested under NixOS 19.03.
