The game wouldn't start initially ( a black app window would form then disappear). Used "winetricks xact" in the Proton prefix and now it works fine including audio with keyboard and mouse. I also wanted Steam Controller support and this required "winetricks dinput8", after which this also worked (without the fix the cursor would endlessly move up at the main menu screen). No other issues detected so far.
