Looking at older reports, the game apparently needed d3dcompiler_46 in the past, or you would load to a black screen. That still happens with the default Steam proton, but when I selected Proton Experimental or GE-Proton9-18, the game loaded fine. I did not use protonfixes or d3dcompiler_46.

Without tinkering, the game starts up and stays in black screen, making the game unplayable.
Like with the PC reports for Linux, you need to install d3dcompiler_46. You should be able to do the following to fix the issue:
- Install the game through Steam
- Go to Desktop mode and make sure you have Protontricks installed thru the Discover app
- Run Protontricks
- At the "Select Steam App" screen, select Raiden Legacy and click OK
- It may take a few seconds for the next screen to come up.
- You may or may not see popups about winetricks. Just click OK for those popups.
- It may take another few seconds for the next screen to come up.
- Make sure the radio is set to "Select the default wineprefix" and click "OK"
- On the next screen, make sure the radio is set to "Install a Windows DLL or component" and click "OK"
- On the next screen, select d3dcompiler_46 and click "OK"
- It may take another few seconds for the next screen. When the next screen shows up, click "Cancel"
- Then "Cancel" again at the next screen to exit Protontricks
You should now be able to play the game in Desktop or Gaming mode without having to pick compatibility mode. If you are using an external controller (such as a PS4 controller), you may have to change your controlleeer layout to match the keys of the game.

Installed d3dcompiler_46 dll to make the game be visible
The game opens on a black window and even when you hear and interact the menu it's not playable, but fixable using protontricks and installing the requiered dll, after that the game works flawlessly without any problems.

Running this on terminal makes the game work correctly. You obviously need to have protontricks installed on your machine.
protontricks 407600 d3dcompiler_46
It justs need 'd3dcompiler_46', everything else works fine.

protontricks 407600 d3dcompiler_46
protontricks 407600 d3dcompiler_46
No issues found with the steps provided.
Screen remains black
The game launches, you can hear the audio and can even hear yourself navigating the menus, but the screen remains entirely black, making it impossible to do anything.
Game launches but there is no image (black screen). Older Proton versions crash at launch.

Game crashes after a Visual Runtime error window
A visual runtime error window is displayed on boot about the file "libGLESv2.dll" in the game directories, along with a message saying to verify Visual C++ documentation. Ignoring the error message only leads to a crash on boot.
Still borked, crashes after (Visual C++) error messages.
It did not even start anymore

Black Screen after it seems to start with sound, after I ignored three error messages.

It doesn't start at all.

Starts with three error messages about packages "libGLESv2.dll". Sound only, Screen is black. No tweak succeeded.
