Need to use proton instead of native if played with steam open.
Native version does not work when launched from Steam because of a unity bug which counts chromium browsers (Steam uses chromium nowadays) as standalone unity players, and the game is set to only allow a single instance.
The native version of the game can be launched from the files if Steam is closed though.

TDP limit 5w
very aliased by default. I forced the resolution to 2560x1600 in Steam launch options and now it looks fine and runs still perfectly (game is locked at 30fps anyway)
needs to select the controller with touchscreen within the game settings

The game has controller support but is set to mouse by default. On first launch use the touchscreen to navigate the menu: go into Options, Controls and select controller. Everything will work fine afterwards.
Game is locked to 30fps.

Controls are hindered on vertical access for some reason. Using Proton Experimental corrected the issue.
I changed to mouse controls (and the steam input layout accordingly) because I found it hard to find hotspots using gamepad controls, but it's not related with Proton or Steam OS at all, the game runs flawlessly.
Battery consumption is already low by default so I didn't bother to tweak it.
TDP Limit: 5w
Changed TDP limit to 5w
(>^-^)> Worked flawlessly out of the box! <(^-^<)
Perfectly splendid!
works both with no changes and using proton experimental

Works good
No window mode, only fullscreen.
Played native Linux.
