Disabled all compatibility tools
Had to disable all compatibility tools otherwise its just a black screen with no audio

Runs great with Proton 8.0-4
The mod installer recommended Proton and it installed the mod with zero issue. The game ran great.

If you enjoy psychological & mystery genre I think you'll probably like the Higurashi When They Cry series.
Used the 7th-mod patch
I used a community made template to play using both a DS5 &the Steam Deck's built in controls.
I used the 7th-mod patch & played on the Steam Deck with Steam OS 3 used the Proton 7.0-6 & the full patch from start to finish with played the windows version of the game. The game ran smoothly when played fullscreen 1440P docked & just as smooth when not docked. I played the game from start to finish in game mode with no bugs or glitches that I personally noticed & all text/dialogue could be read just fine both docked & on built in screen.
Just works
You may want to force the use of Proton to use 07th mods.
Works perfectly with 07th-Mod
Used the full patch. No issues following the instructions on the 07th-Mod website.

30fps cap, 3W TDP Limit, 200 GPU Clock Frequency
Absolutely fantastic visual novel, easy to setup and enjoy on deck! Native version available, but running the windows version through proton you can have cross-saves with your main computer!
TZ=America/Chile %command%
save games from linux native version and windows/proton are separated so I used proton to load my windows saves from steam cloud
I wasn't able to play the game without TZ launch option I got a black screen on launch luckily the game has a log file, there is a problem for unity games that affects some time zones e.g.: America/Sao_Paulo it can be fixed by giving a valid timezone like TZ=America/New_York or TZ=America/Brazil
Runs like a charm.
Also runs just fine with 07th-Mod.
Capped to 20FPS as it's a visual novel
Community graphics patch also works perfectly.
Runs perfectly without any tweaks
works like native with the exception of the opening that occurs on launch(with 07th mod)
opening cutscenes do not work
Native version caused system slowdowns. Proton version works flawlessly, and 07h mod works too.
It works great with 07h mod, but you need to install the Windows assets. Follow the instructions for "Linux Wine" on the mod's webpage. Download the native linux installer, but install it using
python main.py --asset-os windows
instead of the instalation script.
Game runs, audio works perfectly. Also works very well with 07th Mod's voice-only patch, but I couldn't get the full patch working properly.
Game crashed unless DXVK was disabled.
The native Linux port of this game causes severe system slowdown despite not using much CPU or RAM. Running the Windows version through Proton solves this issue outright.
