Requires a small fix to get rid of the inconsistent frametimes and stuttering but otherwise runs perfectly
gamemoderun WINE_CPU_TOPOLOGY=6:0,2,4,6,8,10 MANGOHUD_CONFIG=fps_limit=60,fps_limit_method=early,no_display mangohud %COMMAND%
Mouse input has severe smoothing, likely due to the fact the game is a console port and is probably converting it to analog stick values internally. I have found that disabling all aim assist in the game's settings and playing around with the sensitivity sliders alleviated this issue somewhat, but there doesn't appear to be any way to fully disable it.
The game has extremely poor hyperthreading support, which results in very poor frametimes and frequent micro stutters and slowdowns even on Windows.
On Linux via Wine/Proton, this can be fixed by disabling every odd core via the WINE_CPU_TOPOLOGY
environment variable and by applying a 60FPS cap to the game.
This can be done with DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60
, but I found that in this game limiting the framerate via mangohud using the early
method leads to more consistent frametimes overall.
Enabling Vsync in the game also helped, likely because the game's internal frame limiter does not function properly.
Note that the game has a hardcoded framerate limit of 60FPS regardless of your settings.
Since the hyperthreading issue also seems to manifest itself on Windows, there's a chance that it might get patched in a later update

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
FPS Stutters, adding launch options help but doesn't completely resolve.
I've read that the game uses DirectX 11 and that might explain why the launch option mitigates the FPS stutters.
Super inconsistent fps, if the mission needs to load something new, it dips to 30fps

Frame hitches just from regular gameplay
The game runs very well with the default settings at a stable 60 fps. TDP can be capped at 10 with little to no performance drop.

I didn't even bother launching before changing the names of the exes to launch without EAC. I'd rather do that and miss out on multiplayer then let EAC run on this system. Not sure if that's the trick, but I haven't seen a single issue beyond a slight frame dip when loading into new areas once in a while, otherwise a solid 60fps everywhere.

Not necessary, but you can limit TDP to 10W or even lower
Steady 60fps, great battery life due to low TDP draw, you can even run it at double (or higher) native resolution for better AA through supersampling
Using gyro aiming with mouse doesn't work well due to the game briefly pausing inputs when switching between KBM and gamepad controls

no matter what graphic settings I select, the game runs between 40-50 fps
Dunno what's up with the fps but game works just fine otherwise
