The experience you'll get will be just as bad as it would be on Windows. Likely worse. If you have this game in your library, I am sorry.
I still have no idea what exactly is needed. Here are the packages I guestimated were needed and made the game work: dxvk1102, d3dcompiler_47, d3dx10_43, d3dx10, d3dx10_42, d3dx10_43, d3dx9, vcrun2013, vcrun2015
This game has no fullscreen video option. You need to enter it with Alt + Enter. When you enter, it is recommended you fully restart the game so the UI can cope with the new screen size.
This game has no raw mouse input support. Your mouse cursor WILL escape while exploring in first person if you are using more than one monitor. Using gamescope will solve this issue.
Do not expect this game to run well at all. It is buggy, unfinished, and very obviously not made with Linux in mind at all. The fact that I had it running in Proton 7.0 at all as an experiment is but a blessing, yet the price I had to pay was being able to play the game.
Genesis of the Void died for this.
