Works out of the box
I wouldnt reccomend it as its not a fun game, but it runs perfectly on linux

Turns out that by default this game selected no version of Proton at all. I had to specify one for the game to install and launch. The platinum rating the game used to had made me think there would be absolutely zero tweaks needed but that wasn't the case.

The font issue makes the game unplayable. However, this will be fixed in an upcoming update according to the developer.
Text is barely readable, due to low color contrast, small font size and light font weight.
Seems to be a bug: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2659900/discussions/0/4309453299233743018/#c6352962504916421076

Steam downloads no data
The Steam UI doesn't even list a download size for this game like it does for anything else in my library. When installing a 0B download progresses and I get a play button, then when trying to launch Steam just says the executable is missing.
Switching to the beta branch of the game downloads about 160MB or so but it refuses to launch.
works with proton 8.0-5
Works flawlessly with Proton 8.0-5

runs out of the box
game as described by its author running without issue in Linux.

PROTON_LOG=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
fixed by the PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 launch option
it launches with proton 8 and above for me

Works and is playable. Comments on Steam state that there might be issue with the controls if you have a gamepad connected. I can't confirm that. Saving works, no visual glitches, no bugs (as far as i am aware). Can't say anything about vanilla Proton performance.
