i beat pt1 on my deck right b4 starting pt2 and its night and day difference. pt2 runs and looks much better.

As someone who had Part 1 at launch, this is a night and day difference. Playing No Return at 60-90 FPS on the Steam Deck preset with FG on, and the game looks decent blown up to my 4K TV. Nowhere near as good as it will on my PC, but for the handheld experience, this is stellar!

Big tip for anyone that's currently trying to get this game to launch on a Linux desktop: if you're using the Flatpak version of Steam and having trouble, try migrating to the distro-specific package that Steam offers.
I was having the hardest time trying to figure out why this game would start the launcher, trying everything from SteamDeck=1 %command%
to swapping out different Proton versions to reading tons of logs and searching obscure error messages. The one thing that completely fixed this, without a doubt, was moving to the .deb package of Steam from the Flatpak one.
The game now works for me without any apparent flaws...although, I'll amend my report as I continue playing. First time in a long time that I've seen something like this.

After disabling the launcher window the game has worked absolutely fine. With the 'steam deck' graphic preset it runs smooth 30ish fps
On first startup I only got black screen and then the game crashed. Had to start the game in desktop mode and uncheck the 'show launcher' checkmark from the launcher window. After that it launches fine in gaming mode.
Aiming with right trackpad (fine tuning) not working with the default controls

First time I preorder a game, as a few days earlier marked it as Steam Deck Verified. I went with it. I didn't make any changes, the game has its Steam Deck graphic configuration.
If you played TLoU part 1 on Steam deck, for me Part 2 works exactly the same. If played two hours so far, and no glitches. Of course it won't have the best graphic settings but the game looks good, and runs really smooth at a high fps. I'm truly impressed, seriously.

FSR frame generation cause image glitches, so let it disabled
Disable dinamic resolution or set it a 30 for better aspect
Runs ok at 30fps with medium graffic settings and FSR or XeSS enabled in quality mode
Frames drop bellow 10 at low battery, commom steam deck problem

The initial hour I played everything just worked.. no crashes or issues of any kind.
