DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 %command%
My Keychron V6 causes the menu to infinitely scroll up until it's unplugged. Works fine after plugging it back in. Other keyboards with "bonus features" (brightness adjustment, media controls, etc) will suffer from the same issue. This is apparent on Windows as well.
Lock the framerate to 60. Anything higher will cause the game to run faster than normal.
Installed Committee of Zero's Overhaul patch via Polyversal. Instructions in the link: https://sonome.dareno.me/projects/chn-patch.html

Used COZ patch with polyversal and launch option, works fantastic (but had to install vcredist package; may be needed)
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
used protontricks to install necessay visual redist package
If you want to play without COZ patch it's fine, the game ran flawlessly (atleast the begining 30 mins,didn't test for long) without any tinkering under proton 7; 8 also works. Any help with installing COZ patch, contact their discord server, they helped with the launchoption and vcredist install through protontricks ..;Check their (coz) website or contact their discord to know which vcredist to install if the game after patched asks for it, or if runtime error occurs, polyversal made the patching easy..
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 mangohud %command%

installed coz patch

On Flatpak Steam with CoZ patch and the recommended Proton version, the game refused to write save data. Switching to a Flatpak add-on version of Proton fixed it.

used to install CoZ patch
Use proton 7 with CoZ patch

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Doesn't start without the launch options.
Works with or without the CoZ patch.

Installed the Overhaul Patch with protontricks
The game works great with the Overhaul Patch from the Committee of Zero. Never started the game without the patch, so I cannot say anything to that.
With the Coz patch the game would not run with Mesa's vulkan, using the proprietary vulkan driver works but OpenGL also just works.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Just works. With or without the community patch.
Doesn't work when installed on an NTFS disk.
My previous report said it didn't work. That's because I installed it on my NTFS disk. When I installed it on the OS disk, it did work flawlessly.
Not launching. Tried different Proton versions.
Tested Proton Experimental, 7.0-6, 6.3-8, 5.13-6 and 4.11-13. It tries to open the game for like 30 seconds, and then the green PLAY button comes back. Bummer.
Tested with CHAOS;HEAD NOAH Overhaul Patch, it works
Use CHAOS;HEAD NOAH Overhaul Patch from Committee of Zero to fix the bugs and uncensor one of the endings
Works well
Game never visually starts, it gets automatically closed before anything appearing
Tried multiple Proton versions including Proton-GE
Visual novel - you dont need performance.
you have to change controller layout via Steam, default one is not covering with buttons in options menu
2 crashes for 1st act
Click play and go.
Works out-of-the-box on the Steam Deck. Would recommend everyone to wait for the Committee of Zero patch to come out in a few weeks before you start playing though, as the official localization is pretty wonky and censored.
Game launches, no visual glitches (the intro's rain plays without any tinkering unlike the previous C;H port) and the audio works fine.
A button might require up to 3 clicks to register a click event.
Waiting on the CoZ to fully play through it, but initial impressions are good.
