Game runs pretty stable between 30-40 fps but I can't recommend it on the Steam Deck because of later severe audio issues.
Lowered settings overall.
Severe Audio cracks during late game enemy fights.
Zurkie's has memory leaks in connection of rift jumps and caused the system to crash.
Turning on any ray tracing options crashes the game and the game no longer starts normally. Starting the game via the launcher is required to unset them.

By default gyro activates while touching the right thumbstick, which confused me as I don't generally use gyro and thought there was something wrong with the right thumbstick controls, so I disabled this
Occasional minor crackling when there is a lot on screen going on at the same time
The game suffers a bug which occasionally causes the frame rate to plummet to the point of virtually crashing the game when a cutscene starts or an in game menu (like the weapon shop or arena menu) is opened. This appears to be random, usually only happens after playing for a while but has also happened to me on 2 separate occasions during one of the opening cutscenes. Simply force closing the game and reloading resolves the issue and it auto saves pretty regularly so never cost me any significant progress
FSR 3.1 with frame generation, medium graphic settings and motion blur disabled results in the game running at 60fps very consistently, feels incredibly smooth and I've not noticed any input lag. I've used frame generation the entire time I've played the game so it's possible that the issues I've noted are related but I haven't been able to prove it one way or there other as they only crop up occasionally

fsr3
disable gyro
unloaded mesh once

An amazing experience and crazy how this runs on the deck. Fsr 2.2 works really well here but when things get really crazy you get some artifacting. My only gripe is that the weapon shop ui and ship planet select ui should be separate from fsr in the render pipeline.

With XeSS enabled, this game has a decent fps for such hand-held device. But the freeze/crash makes it harder to enjoy.
Less than 30 fps on low settings. Enabling FSR doesn't help with fps. When enable XeSS upscaling, MangoHud reports more stable 40~60 fps
Sometimes it starts dropping fps to <5 and freezes soon, must force kill the game. This happens several times per hour.

Game crashes sometimes when changing advanced graphics settings
Overall graphic settings: Low Upscale method: AMD FSR 2.1 Upscale quality: Dynamic Upscale sharpness: 5 Dynamic resolution scale: 60 Refresh rate: 45 max

The game needs FSR or IGTI upscaling to play on Steam Deck, which results in pretty heavy artifacting, but that's to be expected in a game like this. With the small screen it's not as noticeable.
Analog triggers are not detected by the game. There are some weapons that have different modes for half-pull vs. full-pull, and there is one weapon that has an additional mode for a trigger pull in betwen half and full. On PC, the initial fix for this was to disable Steam Input and have the game handle the controller directly, but Steam Input cannot be disabled on Steam Deck. The developer delivered a fix for this feature, however on Steam Deck, this fix has not resolved the issue for me.
The game is fully playable without analog triggers though, and it did not affect my enjoyment of the game.
This game works well on Steam Deck and is extremely fun. Few notes:
- Controls: Analog triggers don't work with the Steam Deck's controls
- Controls: Haptic feedback/vibration doesn't work on the Steam Deck's controls. This game has fantastic rumble, so this is unfortunate Controls: By default, gyro aiming is enabled when your right thumb is on the joystick; this is easily disabled if you don't like gyro aiming
- Graphics: There's visual artifacting from FSR or IGTI upscaling (see my graphics section)
- Graphics: For performance, I recommend setting the graphics down one notch from the default
Works flawlessly on GE-Proton. Standard Proton fails to load assets like the ground and stairs, so you have to force GE-Proton.

Mostly happened in high action parts of the game
Usually ran below 30 frames on lowest settings
Game would randomly crash despite having decent frames
The game is great but runs terribly on the deck. Not sure how it got verified

Hard froze my Deck twice to the point it needed a restart, only game that did this so far. Maybe just unlucky but not risking it.
Disabled gyro (personal preference)
Unstable framerate.
Hard froze my Deck twice.

FSR2.1 Downscales to keep 30fps in a noticable way when there is a lot going on, usually this coincides with a lot of movement which also creates very noticable artifacts.
Game runs well with stock settings and is enjoyable.
Would suggest dropping down to low from medium, this will in general be better in high action scenarios as FSR wont downscale the resolution creating a mess of artifacting.

Changed in game settings. Launch but ran below 30 and crashed during intro cutscene.
